Casual Description
I'm Ivie and this is my blog where I will share my journey in writing and just life in general. I'm an aspiring author with new ideas every day on different books to write. I write in many different genres, though my main project at the moment is dystopian set in contemporary times. I'm a believer in the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ. I hope to do book reviews as well as maybe excerpts from stories if I can work up the nerve. I'm obsessed with How To Train Your Dragon, so you'll see a lot of references from the Netflix series and the movies on here. Hopefully my blog motivates and inspires you to do what you love.

Get to know me
If you're going to stick around, you should probably get to know me a little better. Without further ado, here's what you'll need to know about me.

  • I'm a Bible believing Christian, which means the Bible, God's inspired Word, is what I live by
  • I'm an ISTJ. I'll leave a link so you can read the description of that because it describes me perfectly.
  • I'm a dragon rider. My dragon's name is Storie.
  • I'm a dog lover. I don't like cats. I'm allergic to them, which kind of contributes to that, but most cats I've met try to kill me, so ... yeah
  • Peach is my favorite anything. Fruit, scent, color, flavor in sonic slushies.
  • Going along with that last one, I love sonic slushies. They're my favorite drink, honestly.
  • I'm a southern girl, if y'all couldn't figure that out by my frequent use of the word y'all.
  • I'm a homeschool graduate.
  • I'm not politically correct, but I love healthy discussion and debate, so if you don't agree with what I say, just comment and we can talk. Just be respectful or I'll have to delete your comment and I don't want to do that.
  •  I'm very passionate about certain topics, so I can get a little rant-y. Just be prepared for random rants to pop up.
  • Oh my biscuits, I forgot one of the important things about me. I'm a writer and aspiring author. While I don't plan for it to be my career, (more of a hobby and extra income) writing is like breathing to me. I have to write.
  • I'm thinking of self-publishing.
Also, if I ever comment on your blog and its been a while since I've come back even though you replied, please know I'm not ignoring you. I sometimes forget where I comment until later. I'm terrible sometimes. *cheesy grin*

God bless y'all!  😁

    1. Okay, I'll do my best to start that up. My problem is I don't have a lot of books at the moment, but maybe I can spread it out. I was thinking of doing them on certain Fridays, like maybe every first Friday of a month. I'll work on getting book reviews out soon! :)
I would love for my bookcase to be full. :)

    2. Maybe there's one you've read that really stood out to you.
Yes! Then we'll all be excited about every first Friday. That'd be cool. ;)
I'll definitely read them if you review them!
I'm probably gonna be getting more....hehe. My sister's gonna kill me. Eh.

    3. Okay, cool. I'll look into what I have on my shelf and I'll review some books. I have enough to last me a little bit, so hopefully that will be good. Also, I have a special post coming out tomorrow if you'd like to check it out.
Haha, just tell her to read the book, too, lol.
      God bless you!

    4. *high fives you* I'll be reading the reviews you write. ;)
You're right. That might be one way of escaping her wrath. Lol *glances to see if she's looking*
      Bless you as well. <3

    1. Oh! Can I just say, your homeschool rant was the best! I am homeschooled and I get those questions pretty often.

    2. Thank you! Welcome to my blog. Thank you for stopping by. I'm glad you enjoyed my Home school rant. I wanted to do that because of questions I was asked a lot.

I have a lot of ideas for the future, so stick around.
      God bless you!

    1. Yay! Actually, though, I want the years to go by slowly because time flies too fast. But when 2020 comes ... y'all better prepare. I'm very vocal about politics. (If you couldn't tell, hahaha.)

      Evil laugh. Nice touch. :)

I relate to #7 on your list but don't understand #8. I was just in the South last month for the first time and tried sweet tea. It must be an acquired taste ;)

    1. Hi and Welcome. Sweet tea is a southern thing, I guess. I love it, but it has to be really sweet. Some sweet tea is better than others, lol.

I know so many who love coffee and a few who don't when it comes to writing. I just don't like coffee.

      Thanks for stopping by. <3

  5. I don't often find new blogs to follow, but "I'm not going to be politically correct and I love healthy debate" just trapped me... ;)

    1. Thank you and welcome! I love debate as long as it's productive and I'm a free thinker. I want people to form their own opinions on a topic using their brain and research. We live in an age where the internet can help us look up anything. We just have to take the time to do it and make sure we're careful with our sources.

      God bless you! <3

    2. So, true - we have the access to knowledge - but many are too lazy to incorporate time into research. On top of that, it would seem that many would prefer to just state opinions and argue with out being based in facts. ;)

    3. Yes and they seem to reiterate exactly what the mainstream media says they should believe. I pray that as a nation, we open our eyes.

  6. Hi, Ivie. I've seen your comments around, and I thought I'd come by your blog. I'm also a Christian peach-lover, but I'm an ENFP, so our personality types are completely opposite. It should be interesting to see just how those differences register.

    1. Hi, welcome to my blog! I think I've seen you on Gray's blog before.
Peaches are awesome. I can't get enough of them.
Wow, very different personality types. I think I come off a bit more extroverted on here, though.
      Thanks for stopping by! :D

    1. Thanks! I worried people wouldn't like that about me, but I have to remain true to myself. I've had a lot of good response. Even the person who wanted to debate me wasn't ugly about it. So, all is good with that. I just get very passionate some times. (All the time.)
