Short Book Haul

Peeps. Look at this.

Not the best picture, but look at these beautiful covers! I'm so excited to read both of these books, which I purchased through Amazon. By the way, I'm not sponsoring Amazon. I actually am not a fan, but some things are easier to get that way.

Anyway, I've been so excited for these to get here and they did just about an hour ago. I'm just so excited. I have no other words. Prepare for book reviews on these when I finish. It might be a while since I have to finish up a couple library books before we take them back this week.

But these two are all mine to add to my unfortunately small collection. My dream is to have a room in my future house that is dedicated to books and reading. Shelves and shelves of books, all accessible, all wonderful.

Just in case the picture is hard to read, her is a brief summary of the books I got.

  • The Girl Who Could See by Kara Swanson
  • The Blood Race by K.A Emmons.
I'm not bragging, peeps. I'm just excited. I'm like jumping up and down internally because I am so excited.

Okay y'all, let's talk in the comments. Have you read these books yet? Also, please keep your answers spoiler free because this is a spoiler free zone.

As always, God bless y'all and have a wonderful rest of your day. 😁😁😁😁

    1. Lol. I'm so excited to read them. Right now I have to get through library books first since we have to get them back by next weekend. I think Kate is having a giveaway of The Blood Race or something like that on her blog. Its supposed to be a free book or something. I don't know all the details.

Bad grammar annoys me, especially when I do it! XD

    2. Yes, I'm part of the grammar police, but I was going to let that one slide. XD
I know, the covers are so stunning. I'm pretty much freaking out with how excited I am. :D

    3. Same here. My friend use to blog for extra credit in his English class (they basically had a class blog), and the description for the blog was literally, "We judge you when you use poor grammar", and I loved it so much, it was amazing! XD

The covers are breathtaking! I aspire to have covers like that someday!!!

    4. If I can have covers this beautiful, I will be very happy. *crosses fingers for both us* I love that phrase! I'm always correcting grammar in my family and my bro gets annoyed, lol. 😁

  3. I want to read The Girl Who Could See SO BAD. In fact, I think... I might... buy it. Sometime. *gulps because I'm a cheapskate and I don't usually perform such actions* But I really, really want to read it! I hope you enjoy it, friend! XD

    1. Thank you! Do you have a kindle? I think its less money on a kindle, but for the book it was only about eight dollars. I had a gift card from a couple Christmases ago that I had yet to use. (I had misplaced it before, lol.)
I haven't read it yet, but just the description of it. And the cover. Its even more stunning in person.
I hope you get it, friend! I heard of a website called Thriftbooks. I think they might have better deals. I haven't checked it out yet. But maybe you'll find it there for a better price.

Also, how was your hiatus? Do you feel refreshed? :D

    2. My mom has a Kindle, but I prefer print books :) And I think I've heard of Thriftbooks - I'll definitely check it out! The cheaper the better, says the cheapo.

      Gaaahh, I want it!!!!

I enjoyed my hiatus, and yes, I do feel rather refreshed. Thank you for asking :) However, I'm glad to be back!

    3. I prefer print, too. I have a kindle as well and if there's a book for like less than three bucks, than its obvious, but I prefer holding the book.

I'm glad you had a good hiatus, but its nice to have you back. :D

  4. *Screams and yells and flails and fangirls* okay okay sorry for the ridiculous behavior. But hey - I got The Blood Race free on Kindle today! Well, I don't actually have a Kindle, but I couldn't resist. And The Girl Who Could See. Can't wait to read that someday :D

    3. I kind of like Maze Runner. I just started book two, so we'll so how it goes, lol. So far, I like it, but there are some things that are kind of just, eh. Yeah for freebies. Can't complain about those. :D
And yay! What did you think of Angel Eyes?
I love random comments, so don't worry about it. :D

    4. Oh yes Angel Eyes was fantastic! Different from anything I've read before. It actually felt a bit like Twilight ... in a good sense. If you can imagine that. The good part of Twilight, I mean. And really I think it made me aware of somethings I otherwise don't usually think about. I'll be reviewing it eventually :D But I might read the other two first :)

    5. The other two are great. I feel like they get a bit preachy, but overall a great series. My favorite character is Kaylee. She's just so funny. :D
