Time For A Change

Morning, y'all. I have an important update for you, so keep reading.

It's time for a change on here. I'm not enjoying some of my blogging experience. I've decided to do something different. My posting schedule is going to change. My content is going to change. The layout of my blog might even change.

First off, I am supposed to do book reviews every first Friday of a month. I just didn't enjoy that as much as I thought I would and I'm dreading the next one. If I can't put my whole heart into something like that, I don't feel right doing it. So I'm just not. Book reviews will still be a thing, but not right now. They will be on indefinite hiatus until I read some new material.

Second, I think I might take a break on talking about writing. I mean, writing is still a huge passion of mine and I know I'll still talk about it at times, but right now, I just want to do something a little different. I'm still a writer and love it wholeheartedly. I even have a tag going up next week that Catherine from Rebelling Muse tagged me in. I still love writing and it will forever be a part of my life.

I started this blog not just for writing, but because God wants me to talk about things happening in my life. Experiences I've had and faith based posts. I want to do more of that. I want to encourage and work toward finding my full purpose in life. I'll be happy if y'all want to come along for the ride.

I will still rant about current events because I need an outlet. I, as a person, have not changed. I just need something different to happen. The people I've met because of this blog are so encouraging and I enjoy every moment I have talking with them on the blog and on their own blogs.

So, to recap, no book reviews for the time being, less writing posts (probably), and more encouraging posts coming from my heart. Of course, not everything may be happy-go-lucky, unicorns and rainbows because the messages on my heart aren't all happy. Some might be downers. Life can be a downer. But just because we fall, doesn't mean we can't get back up again.

Thanks, y'all for your support. I appreciate every sweet comment and every conversation I have with y'all. God bless y'all and have a wonderful weekend. 😁

    1. My blog will always be God honoring. :)
That was kind of the point. I'm not really liking how some of posts are and I want to do better. Thank you for your support. It really does mean a lot to me. Right now, I'm going to work on some layout stuff and figuring out what my content will be. I mean, it will still be about God or about current events, and I know I'll talk about writing on here still because that's a part of my life. I want this blog to be about life.
God bless you and thank you again! :)

    1. Thank you so much! I might just take you up on that offer. I have an idea of how I'm going to make the blog look, but we'll see if it works.

I feel like I need to change some things up on here and make the blog more about life. Ups and downs and in-between. Thank you so much for your support. You are always so sweet. This really means a lot to me. I'll let you know if I need anything.

    2. Thank you Ivie <3 Your replies always make me feel happy to be honest. :) <3
That sounds special! And sure! Contact me anytime :) I had ABSOLUTELY NO idea how to do it either when i started. Here are some helpful websites to check out for content related things...
Canva is great for making blog pics and designs and there's a lot of free if you get an account
Pexels is AWESOME for getting free stock photos that you can use on your blog and put your titles on or whatever you want to do...I use them as my pics, shhh :P
Also you can look up color themes to come upon a nice blog theme...
Once you put in all the work to make it a nice space then you are free to just write. I was annoyed at the initial time of coming up with the things for my blog but it pays off! It makes me feel happy every time I publish something as a pose to my old blog.
Hope that helps a bit! And contact me anytime for more details...

    3. Thank you so much! I'll look into those websites. I really want to do something special for my blog. I wrote down the details of my current layout, though, just in case. I tried to back it up and it didn't work. I figure if I want to come back to this layout, I'll have it written down in my notebook so I can set it back up if all else fails.

Thank you for all your help. I'll let you know if I need anything. I'm still trying to figure out some things on here. I used to think I was a little tech savvy. Now, not so much, :p

  5. Don't be afraid to change things up! My first blog, Frugally Fancy is very much like yours, full of randomness and a lot of serious topics. The Rebelling Muse was born because my muse was ready to burst because I was boring it to death! I honestly love blogging more because I found my "sweet spot" in writing about my writing.

    Go find that sweet spot!

  6. Good for you!
We need change sometimes, so don't worry about a thing. :)
I love our chats. Esp. about God's love. I'm glad I have someone who can relate and I can talk to about Christ. He's so special to me, and I can't help it, but everything seems to go into the direction of God. (Don't get me wrong, that's an amazing thing and I love it very much.) I've reaching out to people no matter how nerve racking it can be, and you know what, everyone I witnessed to have received it. I know it'll get rough with some people, but hey, I'm planting seeds. Once i just think that they might go to hell if someone doesn't reach out, then it gives me the courage to open my mouth. I've found out that the more I do it, the easier it gets. (Little Life\Death cards really help.) Plus the person can be feeling suicidal like I had been, so I can relate to feeling that way. You never know what the person will be like. Hard to connect to, or hard to reach out to...it can't matter. What I'm about to say may sound extreme, but it's so true: Opening our mouths can save someone from eternally dying. Just smiling, opening our mouths, or giving them a hug can save them from horrible things. I love you feeling that you get after you witness to someone. It feels like God is smiling so big at you. I hope to get bolder... and I hope to turn the world upside down. 12 people did, and I belive we can too, if we act as one. I really believe that. Sorry, I'm rambling. Lol
God bless, and I hope your blogging goes well. <3

    1. Thank you for your encouragement and support. You weren't rambling. Everything you said is true. We can change the world. I love our conversations as well. God is great and He is there for us all, even when we try to run from Him. He is waiting for us. I think its wonderful you are talking to people. Just remember not to push it too hard on them because if they really have their mind set not to believe, they have to come to it on their own and being pushed won't really help them. I think its wonderful you've met people who all accept it. Our souls search for God's love.

God bless and thank you again!

    2. You're most welcome. :)
Yeah, I mostly just say "Hey, Jesus loves you" and let God do the rest. He always provides. I asked him "If you make a way, I'll preach it", and you know what? He always makes a way and I'll follow the path he's beat down for me. I know some people won't accept what I tell them and won't accept the Truth, but I also know that once I say those three words, a seed has been planted. I just hope that they let the flower grow and let their roots grow strong in God. I pray that they do. I pray that they listen and receive what I have to say. There are haters, but God is Love and he's already won. All I have to do is spread the word of the battle and help others put on their armor. It can be heavy at times.
      You're so right, Ivie. :)
      You're very welcome! <3

    3. You're doing the right thing. You're spreading love, but your making it an option. They have to decide in their hearts to take the Word or leave it.

      God bless you

    4. Thanks. Today was a little weird when I told a guy. I can't tell how he felt. He thanked me and smiled but he laughed bit. You know, I'm doing it for his soul and for God, so it doesn't really matter.
They have their free will. We need to use it wisely. I mean, how would we like it if we were FORCED to accept Jesus. I know it would put a damper on God for some people. He loves us. <3
God bless you as well, Ivie. ;)

  8. Writing from the heart is the best thing to do -- don't be afraid of it! I think the best posts are the ones that come from the heart. On my blog, I talk about writing a lot, but I actually have a private blog where I just spill everything in blank verse poetry.

I can't wait to see what changes you're going to make here! :D

(oh, and I LOVE your background image)

    1. Thank you! The background is for Forth of July. It's not permanent... for now anyway. I want to find something different. I just decided that instead of presenting myself as a writing blog and a motivation blog, I wanted to just talk about life. Every aspect of life. Writing is part of my life so I'll talk about that still. I just don't want to limit myself to one topic or the other.

      :)
